SUBMISSION CRITERIA
We are looking for pictures that portray life in Kentucky, Tennessee and Virginia in an artistic and different way. Here are a few things you should know:
- Every photo must be taken in Kentucky, Tennessee or Virginia
- For our purpose, horizontal photos work better than vertical ones
- Your photo can be about landscape or something more artistic and open
- Shoot in black and white, or color – it’s your choice
There are some things we can’t and will not show:
- Images that are obscene, racist or objectifying to any person
- Subject matter that is overtly negative, shocking or depressing
- Copyrighted material
- Anything that contains personally identifiable information
- Other financial institutions

A FEW PHOTO TIPS
With Norris Lake, Cumberland Gap, and many other naturally beautiful areas, there are many opportunities for exciting photos. We’re looking for a unique vision. Here are some ways to help you:
- Consider lighting in your shot – the brightest light should be shining on the subject form behind the camera
- When outdoors, an hour after sunrise or an hour before sunset is usually the best time of day for natural light
- Have a clear focal point, like a single subject in the background or foreground
- Don’t be limited to just places – people are even objects can represent our communities
- The higher the quality of the photo, the better the chance it has of being selected

- Recommended file size: Up to 3Mb
- Minimum photo dimension: Small (400 X 171)
