Letter from the President

IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION:

We are upgrading our Online Banking security!

Dear Friends,

Your online security is important to us. To better protect you from identity theft and fraud, we are upgrading our Online Banking system to an enhanced Multifactor Authentication (MFA) system. These changes will take effect March 20th 2013.

You will have to enroll in our new security service. The upgrade may require you to change your password as well as provide a phone number (cell or home phone). In preparation for this upgrade, you may change your Username and Password prior to March 20th. On March 20th you will be prompted to fully upgrade in just two quick steps.

1.    When you log into Online Banking, the system will check the strength of your Username and Password. If these login credentials are not strong enough to meet the upgraded security requirements, you will have to create a new Username and/or Password.

  •  Username criteria
    •6-20 characters
•Must contain at least one letter but may also contain numbers and the following characters: @$* _ . ! ~
    •Cannot contain any whitespace

  • Password criteria
    •6-32 characters
•Must contain characters from at least 2 of the following categories: letters, numbers, any special characters
    •Cannot contain part of username
    •Cannot contain any whitespace
•Is case sensitive, does not expire, can be reused

2.    You will need to provide a phone number. At that time, you will be issued a verification code (One-Time Passcode), which will be delivered in either a text message or an automated voice mail. You will have to input the verification code in order to proceed to the Online Banking home page.

After you successfully authenticate with your password and verification code, as a convenience, you may enroll your computer for use in authentication. A special Browser Cookie will be present on your computer, which will act as one part of your identification in addition to your Username and Password. If you change computers or delete your Browser Cookies, you will be asked to obtain another One-Time Passcode to validate your identity. To protect from identity theft, we recommend you do not authenticate any public computers.

As with Online Banking, your iPhone, Android, and/or tablet will have to be upgraded as well. This upgrade will not take place until 2-4 weeks after March 20th. If you currently use Online Banking or Mobile Web, your mobile phone/tablet will automatically import registered phone number(s) you have setup for Online Banking. Select to “Text me” or “Call me” for your One-Time Passcode. Click on the text and you will be able to click over to your mobile app or tablet app to see the full SMS message. Follow the instructions from there to complete your upgrade. With voice authentication you simply press the # button to confirm the login while on the phone.

Please take a couple of minutes to review your Username and Password credentials to see if you will need to change them prior to March 20th 2013. If you have any questions or need assistance, you may contact us at 1-800-354-0182.  As a reminder, there will be a countdown on our Online Banking home page. Thank you for your understanding in this important matter.

Sincerely,

Alex Cook
President/CEO
